Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was a child prodigy. But for a person from Irish background, surrounded by talented parents and a loving family, these were very natural traits. Maureen was welcomed into the safe haven of her parents on the 17th of August 1920 in Ranelagh (a suburb in Dublin), Ireland. Marguerita FitzSimons' mother, Lilburn, was an contralto. Charles FitzSimons managed a Dublin-based business and owned a share of "The Shamrock Rovers" famous Irish soccer squad. Maureen FitzSimons was the second daughter from Charles FitzSimons.
