Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was a student at Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. She survived on a student salary and part-time work in order to make ends meet. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different route she could take. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. But she quit before the band went on I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. She was the voice in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox started working for Diva in 1992. It was her debut album as a solo artist. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. First album of hers"Now I'm Letting You Go... It is the soundtrack to her exhibit of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work throughout the 1970s. The group went on during the 80s, to be the cult duo Eurythmics. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist in 1992 when she released the album of Diva, which featured many of her most popular songs such as Why and walking on Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album contains cover versions of songs such asNo MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own and one compilation album are the result of her efforts.
